Smart Foam Insulation Demonstration
in real-time at Frank Lloyd Wright home in Clifton
Nov. 18, 2011

Cincinnati, OH – Homeowners, landlords and commercial businesses can learn how to save hundreds of dollars each month by improving energy efficiency with a cost-effective solution that stops air leaks while improving comfort. A real-time demonstration will show the process of home insulating with “Smart Foam Insulation.”
What: Smart Foam Insulation LLC, will be performing an Insulsmart TM installation demonstration in real-time on the historic Frank Lloyd Wright home in Clifton.
Why: To improve the insulation value of the single block north, east and west walls of the home. Smart Foam Insulation will take the R-1 single-width cinder-block wall to R-11. Adding Insulsmart TM insulation is one of the first steps in making the 54-year-old home LEED Certified. Recently the home was registered for the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Certification process. The goal will be LEED Platinum.
When: Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, starting at 9 a.m. The project should take until 3 p.m. Visitors are welcome to stop by anytime. There is no charge but please RSVP. Email Chuck Lohre, chuck@lohre.com, or call 513-260-9025.
Where: The Boulter House, 1 Rawson Woods Circle, Cincinnati, OH 45220. The home was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and completed in 1956. Learn more, http://www.wrightboulter.com/site.
Who: Perry Leitner, CEO of Blue Chip Energy Services, http://www.bluechipenergyservices.com/ and managing partner of Smart Foam Insulation LLC, http://www.sfifoam.com, will be performing the Insulsmart TM installation with his factory certified crew. Smart Foam Insulation LLC., services Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Georgia and is in process to participate with the Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance. See http://greatercea.org/energy-efficiency-incentives and their related incentive programs.
How: The Insulsmart TM non-expanding foam is injected into the lower wall cavity and fills the voids between the concrete cinder-block. The crew will use a thermal imaging camera to trace the 100-degree foam’s progress as it fills the nooks and crannies of the cinder-block all the way to the top of the wall. This non-expanding low VOC closed cell foam (MADE IN THE U.S.A.) can also fill other wall cavity applications such as wood and metal stud walls, cathedral ceilings, and brick on block.
